Our Team at Himalaya Darshan Treks Pvt. Ltd consists of many experienced and professional trekking guides and staff, whose main aim and priority are clients’ safety and satisfaction. We will ensure that our clients have a wonderful time in Nepal, and that when they are ready to leave Nepal, our clients will leave, taking many memorable experiences in Nepal with them.
Our team’s experience in the tourism/trekking industry is demonstrated in our knowledge of the Himalayas, trekking areas, Nepali culture, and Nepali history that we share with clients, and the quality of service that we provide to clients.

Gyan Bahadur Katuwal – Managing Director
Mr. Gyan Bahadur Katuwal (also known as GB Katuwal) is an experienced and professional person in the tourism sector of Nepal. He is from Solukhumbu. He has been a travel operator for a long time in Nepal. Mr. GB has a lot of experience and good knowledge of tourism in Nepal. He has more than 20 years of experience in this sector. Gyan started this job as a porter and continues as the Porter leader, assistant guide, and full guide in this tourism sector.
Mr. Gyan worked for many different trekking companies by handling many small & large trekking groups from many different countries around the world. Mr. Gyan Katuwal has very good knowledge about the trekking region (trekking trails) of Nepal. Everest Region Treks, Kanchenjunga Region, Makalu Trek, Dolpo Region Treks, Mustang Region, Langtang, Manaslu, and all trekking trails in Nepal. Likewise, GB knows different Nepali cultures, History, Mountains, and many more.
Finally, after many years of hard struggle, Mr. Gyan Katuwal operates his own trekking company named Himalaya Darshan Treks Pvt. Ltd. Himalaya Darshan Treks specializes in organizing Trekking and hiking. Likewise, mountaineering, rafting, wildlife safaris, mountain biking, cultural tours, and much more.
Deepak Katwal – Manager
Mr. Deepak Katwal is the youngest and most energetic staff member in our team. He is from Solukhumbu. He has been with the Himalaya Darshan Treks family for 2 years. Deepak is currently doing a bachelor’s in Hospitality Management. However, he has been working with us for almost 2 years. He corresponds with clients and gives useful information. Mr. Deepak designs flexible itineraries to meet the client’s needs. Deepak makes sure all the arrangements run according to the plan, booking accommodations, and advising about facilities such as sights and newly opened tourism destinations in Nepal.
Dr. Siegmund Stiehler (Siggi) – International Advisor from Germany
Mr. Siegmund is our international advisor and permanent resident of Germany. Dr. Siggi has been on our team since the establishment of Himalaya Darshan Treks. He is our group leader, especially from Germany. He is doing a lot of help and support for guidance in managing the Himalaya Darshan Treks. Dr. Siggi has also trekked with friends to Kanchenjunga Base Camp (5140m) and Makalu Base Camp Trek (4878m). Likewise, Annapurna Dhaulagiri Community Trek ( for Rhododendron view) and Langtang Gosaikunda Trek. He is our honorable guest and a team member of our company. Chandra Bahadur Katuwal – Trekking Guide
Mr.Chandra Bahadur Katuwal from Solukhumbu (Everest Region) is a young and energetic person. He is an experienced and professional trekking guide in Nepal. As well as, He started in this field in 2011 as his career as a porter, assistant guide, and trekking guide. Chandra is a government-licensed holder and has a lot of knowledge in the trekking field from his work experience. Since the establishment of the Himalaya Darshan Treks, Chandra has been on our team, doing his best. He has been a very popular trekking destination in Nepal and has extensive knowledge in this field.
Bhim Bahadur Rai – Trekking Guide
Mr. Bhim Bahadur Rai from Solukhumbu (Everest region) is a hardworking person. He is an experienced professional guide in Nepal. Started in this field in 2013, his career began as a porter, Assistant guide, and finally trekking guide. Besides that, Mr. Bhim has a lot of knowledge in the trekking field from his work experience. Since the establishment of the Himalaya Darshan Treks, he has been on our team, giving his best.
Mr. Ngima Tenji Sherpa – Climbing Guide
Mr. Ngima Tenji Sherpa, originally from Solukhumbu (Everest Region) He has been our Climbing guide/sherpa and trekking guide since 2023 and has been instrumental in helping the success of expeditions to various peaks above 6,000 meters. He climbed Island Peak, Mera Peak, and Lobuche Peak many times. Ever since he has joined our organization (Himalaya Darshan Treks), he has worked as a high-altitude climbing Sherpa for all our Climbing Expeditions. He is an honest and professional climbing guide of our company in Nepal.
Mr. Rohit Basnet – Climbing and Trekking Guide
Rohit Basnet, born in Solukhumbu, is a young and energetic person. He has been our Climbing guide/Sherpa and trekking guide since 2024. He also started his first career as a porter for the trekkers. Rohit gained a lot of knowledge in the trekking field from his work experience during his time. Basnet also ran the popular Everest Marathon. He worked with many trekking companies and handled many small and large groups. He is Himalaya Darshan Trek’s experienced and professional guide.
Rajesh Budha – Trekking Staff
Mr. Rajesh Budha is from the Dolpo district (Western Nepal). He is a young and energetic person. He is an experienced and professional trekking staff member in our team. Rajesh is a professional in managing all the related tasks for our Western Nepal Trek. Starting in this field in 2015 as a staff/assistant guide. He has a lot of knowledge in the trekking field. Especially the Dolpo Region. Likewise, Mr. Rajesh has been on our team doing his best for almost 3 years. He is popular for the eastern Nepal Trek and has extensive knowledge.
