Jiri to Everest Base Camp Trek

Jiri to Everest Base Camp Trek is the most Classical Trekking Route. Used by the early expeditions before the establishment of Lukla airport. Jiri Everest Trek starts from the lowland of Jiri or Bhandar. To see introduce you to the entire Khumbu region from its base to the apex a Tibetan highland. And it provides the best opportunity to acclimatize to an incredible Mountain View.

It includes Mt Everest 8,848m. Jiri to Everest Base Camp Trekking is called legendary trekking. By the legendary land of Sherpa and mysterious Yeti. Driving about 6/7 hours from Kathmandu to reach Bhandar via Jeep or private vehicle. On the other side of the road, you can enjoy the scenic beauty passing through the pine forests, rivers, and alpine lakes. As well as Emerald Hills and their terraces filled with golden rice and mustard plants.

Lamajura La Pass 3,560m,

The trail passes through the beautiful villages of Bhandar, Kinja, and Sethe. Besides that, Lamajura La Pass 3,560m, Junbesi, Taksindu, Kharikhola, and continue to Phakding. From Chhuplung you will be following the currently popular route from Lukla. Everest Base Camp Trek via Jiri will give you an unforgettable lifetime experience.

Everest Base Camp Trek Route

From the Phakding, again climbing up into the beautiful Sherpa villages passing one by one Monju, Jorsalle, and Namche Bazaar. To take a day’s rest as a day to assimilate ourselves. From here the trail takes us through the Everest Base Camp Trek Route.

It offers an incredible view of the most spectacular mountains from places like Tengboche 3,865m and Kala Pathar 5,545m. Especially, Kala Pathar Peak is a nice viewpoint of the Everest Region and encounters the old and historical Gompas, Chorten, Mani Wall, and monasteries.

The best way from Kathmandu to Tham Danda

Now, It is possible to drive directly from Kathmandu to Tham Danda. It will be a great option for your Everest base camp trek. If cancel your flight to Lukla then you don’t need to cancel your EBC Trek. You have a great and the best option will be to drive to Tham Danda. It depends on road conditions. The gateway for the Everest journey is Namche Bazaar, a stunning Sherpa settlement. We will continue from Namche Bazaar to Kalapathar, 5,545 meters, the location of Everest Base Camp. Then we continue the trek and descend to Lukla, where we catch a flight to Kathmandu or Ramechhap.

Itinerary


Day 1, Arrival at (TIA) Kathmandu Airport (1,350m) and transfer to hotel

We, Himalaya Darshan Treks heartily welcome you and your group to Nepal. One of our company staff will take you to your hotel in Kathmandu. The person will be waiting outside the baggage hall of the Tribhuwan International Airport, Kathmandu, holding an A4-size paper with your name and our company name. So, you have to look for that person for your pick up from the airport. Your check-in at the hotel.

Day 2, Drive to Bamti Bhandar (2,990m). Stay at tea house.

Early in the morning, we will drive to Bamti Bhandar lies in the northern part of the Ramechhap district. The distance of 235km from Kathmandu. After about 7/8 hours of bus/ jeep ride, one can easily reach Bamti bhandar. Stay at tea the house.

Day 3, Trek to Sete village (2,416m). Stay at tea house.

The trail begins to descend to the settlement of Bhandar and then continues to descend to the Kinja River for most of the morning. The trail also passes across a couple of suspension bridges before reaching Kinja’s village, where the landscape becomes virtually level for a short time. After Kinja, another extremely steep ascent awaits. The climb becomes a little easier after an hour or two and concludes at Sete Village. Stay at the tea house.

Day 4, Trek to Junbesi (2,750m), Via Lamajura la pass (3,615m). Stay at tea house.

From the Sete, the trail continues to ascend, and the terrain becomes easier as it nears the summit. The hike crosses the Lamajura Pass after a short easy walk and then descends through the pine trees to the small settlement of Taktor. The trial settles down for a time before ending the day at Junbesi with a quick dip. Stay at the tea house.

Day 5, Trek to Nunthala (2,210m). Stay at tea house.

The trail gradually begins to climb again for a little distance before easing up and leading to the settlement of Phurteng. Here you can have your first look at Mt Everest 8,848m with the Lhotse face in front of it. The trail continues to undulate, and after a brief dip into the river, it begins to ascent once more. The ascent continues to the top of Takshindu La, roughly 3,000m, passing past a charming settlement of Ringmo with apple fields. The walk begins with a steep descent through a forest and continues till it reaches the Nunthala hamlet. Stay at a tea house.

Day 6, Trek to Bupsa Danda. Stay at tea house

On another beautiful day, the trip continues to ascent and fall. For most of the morning, the trail descends through woodlands and terraced rice fields. Another rise begins after crossing the Dudh Koshi River near Juving and all the way uphill to reach Kharikhola. It is a beautiful sherpa village. From here we will continue our walking uphill and finally reach Bupsa Danda. Stay at a tea house.

Day 7, Trek to Surke (2,790m). Stay at tea house.

The journey continues in the same pattern as the previous days. In the morning, the trail climbs a little bit to the Kharila passing 3,145m then continue to Paiya village through the bamboo forest. The trip continues across less difficult terrain to Chutokla then the trail descends to Surke. Stay at a tea house.

Day 8, Trek to Phakding (2,610m). Stay at tea house.

After breakfast, we will start our journey moderate ascent leads to Chaurikharka, a small village close to the well-known Lukla. The walk continues ascent to Chheplung. It is the joining point of the Popular Lukla Everest trekking route. we continue this popular trekking trail to reach Phakding. Stay at a tea house.

Day 9, Trek to Namche Bazaar (3,440m). Stay at tea house

Our trek begins in the morning with a crossing of the Dudh Kosi River, passing through the charming villages of Toktok, Bhenkar, and Monjo before arriving at the Sagarmatha National Park entrance gate. Then we will trek for a few hours along the riverbed and cross our final bridge before a steep uphill trek to Namche Bazaar. Namche is home to various excellent restaurants, pubs, a computer café, a post office, and banks. It is the main gateway to the entrance of the Everest region too.

Day 10, Acclimatization Day.

This is your Excruciation day. After breakfast, you can hike to Everest View Hotel. From there you can enjoy seeing breathtaking views of Mt Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse, and Amadablam. Likewise, many other beautiful mountain peaks in the Everest Himalayan range. You also can enjoy wild animals, birds and many more. You can explore Namche bazaar and enjoy your evening with many restaurants, Bars (Irish Bar), and a shopping center.

Day 11, Trek to Tengboche (3,860m). Stay at tea house.

After breakfast in Namche, we begin our journey to Tengboche, with spectacular views of Mt. Everest, Nuptse, Lhotse, Ama Dablam, and a close-up glimpse of Thamserku. Our walk to Tengboche has a few ups and downs and beautiful Himalayan views. Tengboche is home to the Khumbu region’s largest Buddhist monastery.

Day 12, Trek to Dingboche (4,410m). Stay at tea house.

The ideal time to see Tengboche’s magnificent monastery is on a clear morning. This is an excellent opportunity to use your camera! We then continue our climb on the top trail, taking advantage of the views to see the ancient monastery, before passing past various Chortens and Mani walls and several tiny settlements to reach Dingboche

Day 13, Acclimatization Day.

It’s good to take another day to acclimate before traveling to higher elevations. Hike to Nagarjun Hill Plus 5,000m You can enjoy the magnificent mountain views of Mount Makalu, Taboche, Nuptse, Lhotse, and Island peak. Then descend to the hotel.

Day 14, Trek to Lobuche (4,910m). Stay at tea house.

After breakfast, any simple trek will take us to Dugla, where we will cross the Khumbu Glacier’s steep moraine. After crossing the glazier, we approach Chupki Lhara along boulder-strewn slopes, passing an array of stones with prayer flags as memorials of mountaineers. We can see Khumbutse, Lingtren, Pumori, Mahalangur Himal, and other major Himalayan peaks from there. continue trekking to Lobuche.

Day 15, Trek to Gorakshep (5,190m) and Hike to EBC (5,360m)

The trail to Gorakshep winds its way across the Khumbu Glacier’s moraine, past the pyramid marker. We soon obtain views of Mt. Pumori, Lingtern, Khumbutse, Nuptse, and the crest of Everest’s North Slope. We hike a short distance to Thangma Riju, where we have a breathtaking 360-degree view of snow-capped mountains.

After a short break and having some lunch at our guest house, we will start our walking to Everest base camp 5,364m. walking through the glacier. After great success to reach the base camp of Mt. Everest, we will back to Gorakshep.

Some trekkers, don’t like to go to Base Camp and may prefer to stay at the hotel and plan a walk to Kala Pathar to see the spectacular sunset view.

Day 16, Hike to kalapathar (5,545m). and Trek back to Pheriche (4,240m). Stay at tea house.

Today is a remarkable day, and it represents the pinnacle of our trip. The stunning views from Kala Patthar of the new day and the light shining on Mount Everest are best seen early in the morning. Before embarking on our journey, we must be prepared for the dark and chilly conditions (-10 to -14 Degrees C). We then return to Gorakshep for breakfast before making our way to Pheriche for a well-earned night’s rest.

Day 17, Trek to Namche Bazaar (3,440m). Stay at tea house.

The trail then enters the Dudh Koshi gorge, descending steeply through the pine forests after crossing the prayer flag-draped bridge at Phungitenga. After that heading up to Kyanjuma, the region’s primary trail junction is reached at the end of the walk. While traveling through the forest, we should look for wild animals such as mountain goats, snow leopards, colorful pheasants, and other species. Finally, we arrive at Namche Bazaar after passing via Chorten.

Day 18, Trek to Lukla 2,840m.

This is our final walking day on these magnificent, spectacular mountains that have been our home for several days. Our journey to Lukla, roughly 7 hours from Namche, will take us along the Dudh Koshi River. The same way descends when we ascend to Namche Bazaar.

Day 19, Flight to Kathmandu and transfer to hotel.

A scenic flight of around 35 minutes from Lukla to Kathmandu. We will arrive in Kathmandu and be transferred to our hotel.

Flight from Lukla to Ramechhap and drive to Kathmandu.
