Gokyo Renjo La Pass Trek

Gokyo Renjo La Pass Trek is one of the most interesting and gorgeous in the Everest region. Renjo La High Pass hiking takes you to one of the most scenic and least populated parts of the Himalayas. The trek provides numerous options to enjoy your Everest vacation. In addition, you’ll be able to go on several hikes and cross some high passes. They are well-known for their Everest trekking. Particularly, If you don’t have the time to go on a longer, more adventurous hike. As a result, the Renjo La Pass Trekking route is the most suitable for you.

The Renjo La Pass Trek begins with a picturesque flight from Kathmandu to Lukla, at a height of 2,840 meters. Then you can begin your journey to Phakding. Trekking through the Namche Bazaar, Dole, Machhermo, and reach beautiful Gokyo Lake.

Hike to Gokyo Ri 5,360m

The hike from Gokyo Lake to Gokyo Ri (5,360m) is the next wonderful opportunity. Besides that, we can view spectacular mountain landscapes in the Khumbu region from here. The spectacular mountain views of Mt Everest (8,848m), Mt Makalu (8,153m), Mt Cho Oyo (8,153m), and Mt Lhotse (8,511m). Renjo La Pass 5,360m

From the Gokyo, a hike to Renjo La Pass (5,360m) is part of this itinerary. Spectacular views of the Everest Himalayan range seen from here. (Same types of view from Gokyo RI). Our hikes descend to Lungdhen 4,368m, Thame Settlement (beautiful Sherpa village) on the Tibetan Plateau. The trip descends to Namche Bazaar, which is known for the Sherpa culture in the high Himalayas. Our return journey to Lukla was filled with breathtaking sights then flyout to Kathmandu.

Itinerary


Day 1, Arrival in (TIA) Kathmandu Airport (1,350m) and transfer to hotel

We, Himalaya Darshan Treks heartily welcome you and your group to Nepal. One of our company staff will take you to your hotel in Kathmandu. The person will be waiting outside the baggage hall of the Tribhuwan International Airport, Kathmandu, holding an A4-size paper with your name and our company name. So, you have to look for that person for your pick up from the airport. Your check-in at the hotel.

Day 2, Flight to Lukla (2,840m) and Trek to Phakding (2,610m). Stay at tea house.

Your guide will pick you up from your hotel in the early morning and drive you to the domestic terminal at Kathmandu airport, where you will board a 30-minute flight to Lukla. You will be treated to some of the most breathtaking Himalayan views during the trip. You will be met by your porter, who will carry your luggage after you arrive at Tenzing-Hilary airport. Then your journey begins. Then it’s a short trek to Phakding crossing beautiful village and the amazing mani wall at upper Ghat.

Day 3, Trek to Namche Bazaar (3,440m). Stay at tea house.

Our trek begins in the morning with a crossing of the Dudh Kosi River, passing through the charming villages of Toktok, Bhenkar, and Monjo before arriving at the Sagarmatha National Park entrance gate. We then trek for a few hours along the riverbed and cross our final bridge before a steep uphill trek to Namche Bazaar. Namche is home to various excellent restaurants, pubs, a computer café, a post office, and banks. It is the main gateway to the entrance of the Everest region too.

Day 4, Acclimatization Day.

Namche Bazaar is a lovely town with a 3440m height. We’ll need to stay two nights to acclimate to the higher altitude. This is your Excruciation day. After breakfast, you can hike to Everest View Hotel. From there you can enjoy seeing breathtaking views of Mt Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse, and Ama Dablam. Likewise, many other beautiful mountain peaks in the Everest Himalayan range. You also can enjoy wild animals, birds and many more. You can explore Namche bazaar and enjoy your evening with many restaurants, Bars (Irish Bar), and a shopping center.

Day 5, Trek to Dole (4,200m). Stay at the tea house

We’ll leave Namche after breakfast and follow the trail to Chhorkang. Then we’ll stroll along the north side, via a Tenzing Norgay Memorial Chorten. Before getting kyanjuma, you can take in the stunning panorama of Kusum Kangaru, Thamserku. Likewise, Khandega, Amadablam, Lhotse, Everest, Nuptse, and Tawaboche are there. The trail then climbs left to Mongla pass, falls to Phortse thanga, and then climbs steeply through the Rhododendron and Birch woodland to reach Dole.

Day 6, Trek to Machhermo (4,470m). Stay at tea house.

We’ll go off from Dole on a steady ascent to Machhermo. That day will not be long, but you will have some difficulties walking due to the high altitude. You may take in the breathtaking views of Cho Oyu, Kantega, and Thamserku, as well as the opportunity to witness wildlife.

Day 7, Trek to Gokyo Lake (4,790m). Stay at tea house.

Today is a crucial day in the journey to Gokyo. After breakfast, trek gently up to Phanka for a short break and then follow the trail to Gokyo Lake 4,790m, which runs alongside the Ngozumpa Glacier. We’ll be photographing the Gokyo Valley’s diverse scenery, including Gokyo Lakes, Tibet’s bordering peaks, and Cho Oyu.

Day 8, Hiking to Gokyo Ri (5,360m)

On this day you have two hiking alternatives: Gokyo Ri 5,360m or Fifth Lake. You and your guide can decide on those possibilities. Both locations are ideal for trekking with spectacular mountain views. If you want to climb Gokyo Ri, you must do so either before or after breakfast (for a sunrise view) for panoramic views of several mountains, including Mt. Everest, Mt. Lhotse, Mt. Makalu, Mt. Cho-Oyu, and many other snow-capped mountains.

Day 9, Trek to Lungdhen (4,380m). via Renjo La Pass (5,360m). Stay at tea house.

Early in the morning, a simple walk around the lake kicks off the day. The trail soon becomes a hard ascent all the way to the Renjo La Summit 5,360m. (this is the last and 3rd pass of our three passes treks) We will enjoy similar views to those seen from Gokyo Ri. A steep descent from the top, we will enjoy the view of lakes and beautiful mountains and continue to descend to Lungdhen. which is located in a new valley.

Day 10, Trek back to Thame Village (3,800m). Stay at tea house.

The trail keeps descending and loses altitude at a consistent pace, and reaches the village of Marlung. After Marlung, the trail slowly moves towards the famous village of Thame on easier terrain. Thame is beautiful and famous for Sherpa culture. You can enjoy beautiful mountain views from here too. In the evening you can visit the historic monastery but it is a little bit far from the village so you need to short hike to reach there.

Day 11, Trek back to Namche Bazaar (3,440m). Stay at tea house.

Today is short walking and easy day so we will have a late breakfast. Our trails lead us to Namche Bazaar via Thamo village. You will enjoy the view of beautiful mountains and wildlife during your walk.

Day 12, Trek back to Lukla (2,840m). Stay at tea house.

This is our final walking day on these magnificent, spectacular mountains that have been our home for several days. Our journey to Lukla, roughly 7 hours from Namche, will take us along the Dudh Koshi River. The same way descends when we ascend to Namche Bazaar.

Day 13, Flight to Kathmandu and transfer to hotel.

A scenic flight of around 35 minutes from Lukla to Kathmandu. We will arrive in Kathmandu and be transferred to our hotel.

Day 14, Final Departure.

This will be the last day of your trip in Nepal. One of our staff will take you and your group to Tribhuwan International Airport, Kathmandu for your final departure. We wish you and your group safe flights with unforgettable memory from your Nepal trip. Hope to see you again.
