Pikey Peak Dudhkunda Trek

In lower Solukhumbu, Pikey Peak is a famous trekking destination on the south side of the Everest region. It is a short and beautiful trek. The Pikey Peak Dudh Kunda Trek in the Lower Solukhumbu Region is tremendously rewarding.  It offers a unique opportunity to learn about Sherpa culture. This hiking trail is one of the greatest for discovering natural and cultural wonders.

Especially, Pikey Peak Dudhkunda Trek begins in Patale Danda, at an elevation of 2,840 meters, after a picturesque drive from Kathmandu. Pikey Peak, at 4,065 meters, is a one-hour hike from Pikey Base Camp at 3,600m. From the Pikey summit, we will enjoy the spectacular view of the Himalayas, including Mt. Everest, Makalu, Kanchenjunga, and Dhaulagiri Himalayan ranges.

As well as Ama Dablam, Lhotse, Nuptse, Numbur, Gaurisankhar, Langtang, and other lovely snow-capped summits to the far west. After that, continue our trek through Traktor to Junbesi (an attractive Sherpa settlement) before spending the day at the Thubten Chholing monastery. After that, we will reach our second objective (DudhKunda Lake) for the hike after passing via Yak Kharka and Sahasrabeni.

Dudhkunda Lake Trek

In addition, you will have a day off to explore Dudh Kunda Lake (4,600m). It’s also known as Milky Lake, and it’s a holy lake revered by Hindus and Buddhists alike. During the August festival season, this trail is also clogged with a large number of pilgrims. During your walk, you may come across some of the region’s unusual birds and creatures.

After exploring the beautiful Dudhkunda Lake, our journey descends through Kami Danda and Taksindu to Phaplu’s little airport. As we board a flight back to Kathmandu.

Best time to visit Pikey Peak and DudhKunda Lake

Due to their lower elevation, Pike Peak and DudhKunda are magnificent in the spring, fall, and winter, like most treks in Nepal. This walk should be avoided during the rainy season, as the terrain can get exceedingly damp.

Finally, Himalaya Darshan Treks enthusiastically recommends the stunning Pikey Peak Dudhkunda Trek. If you and your party don’t have enough time for this journey, the Pikey Peak Trekking package is a good option. We are always delighted and willing to help you plan your trek in Nepal.
