Itinerary


Day 1, Arrival in Kathmandu Airport (1,400m) and transfer to hotel

We, Himalaya Darshan Treks heartily welcome you and your group to Nepal. One of our company staff will take you to your hotel in Kathmandu. The person will be waiting outside the baggage hall of the Tribhuwan International Airport, Kathmandu, holding an A4-size paper with your name and our company name. So, you have to look for that person for your pick up from the airport. Your check-in at the hotel.

Day 2, Sightseeing in world heritage sites in Kathmandu

Prepare for the Tiji festival trek and Sightseeing in world heritage sites in Kathmandu such as Swoyambhunath (Monkey temple), Boudhanath, Pashupatinath, and Basantepur Durbar Square then back to the hotel. This day is required to make an Upper Mustang Trek Special Permit with your original passport.

Day 3, Drive to Pokhara (820m), Transfer to hotel.

Our journey begins with a tourist bus ride from Kathmandu to Pokhara. Pokhara will take approximately 6 hours to reach by tourist bus. On the trip, you’ll be able to take in the stunning Himalayan scenery. After arriving, you can relax in a nice hotel or explore the lovely city of the lake.

Day 4, Flight to Jomsom (2,720m) and drive to Kagbeni (2,800m).

We’ll fly to Jomsom, the district capital of Mustang, from Pokhara airport. If the weather is clear, you will be treated to amazing views of the hill and mountains during the 30-minute journey. Both Dhaulagiri and Annapurna look spectacular from the airplane. Then we will drive to Kagbeni, through the Kali Gandaki river valley. Kagbeni is the gateway to Upper Mustang, located on the banks of two rivers. We need to show/check in our entry permit here.

Day 5, Trek to Chele/Tsaile (3,100m).

Today, we’ll continue our journey toward the Kali Gandaki River’s bank. Tangbe Village, constructed of white-washed mud and tiny lanes, will be your destination today. The apple garden and buckwheat fields can be seen along the road. After crossing the Kali Gandaki Valley, we must ascend to Chele/Tsaile. Stay at the guest house.

Day 6, Trek to Syangmochen (3,570m)

The day begins with a brief ascent, after which the trail progressively ascends via a shallow gully. At Dejong La (3660 meters), when the gully comes to an end, the trip resumes on the road and proceeds via the little settlement of Samar. Following that, a difficult ascent continues to the Bhena La 3,830m, where it once more intersects with the road. The journey continues on the highway, passing modest teashops in Bhena, before gradually ascending once again. At Syangmochen La, 3,800m, the ascent comes to a halt. We finally arrive at Syangmochen after a steep descent.

Day 7, Trek to Charang (3,560m)

The hike continues uphill to the summit of the Muila Bhanjyang (4,172 meters) and then descends to the Ghar Gomba, the area’s oldest monastery. The trail now departs from the main route and descends to Marang before continuing to the Charang settlement.

Day 8, Trek to Lo-Manthang (3,840m), 6 - 7 hrs.

We begin our adventure by going downwards to a canyon and crossing a river before beginning our ascent to 3,950m. From the top of the pass, you may get a good view of the lovely Lo Manthang settlement. Then it’s down to Lo Manthang, a lovely walled settlement. The views of the Himalayas, including Tilicho, Nilgiri, Tilicho and Annapurna I, Bhrikuti Peak, and Damodar Kunda (pond), are quite good from this location.

Day 9, Observe Tiji Festival for first day

Day 12, Trek back to Ghami Village (3,520m)

The return trip begins along the same path as the outbound journey. The journey continues the Charang La and goes via the settlement of Charang. The walk takes a different direction at the base of the Charang La and gradually descends while traversing Nepal’s longest Mani Wall (555 meters). As the trail descends into the river and then ascends once again to the settlement of Ghami

Day 13, Trek to Syangmochen (3,500m)

After breakfast, we set out on our journey. We take the same route up to Lo Manthang as we did before. We may enjoy amazing views of the Himalayas and the little villages we travel through on the road to Syangmochen.

Day 14, Trek to Chhusang (2,980m).

After breakfast, we set out on our journey. We take the same route up to Lo Manthang as we did before. We may enjoy amazing views of the Himalayas and the little villages we travel through on the road to Chusang.

From here, If you are interested, you can trek ascends to Muktinath Temple (all the way up).

Day 15, Trek to Jomsom (2,720m).

After breakfast, we set out on our journey. We take the same route up to Lo Manthang as we did before. We may enjoy amazing views of the Himalayas and the little villages we travel through on the road to Jomsom.

Day 16, Fly to Pokhara and transfer to hotel.

We get up early in the morning and fly to Pokhara on a lovely trip. Flying through a gorge between the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri mountains is an incredible experience in and of itself. After landing in Pokhara and transferring to the hotel. You can spend your free time visiting the gorgeous lake city’s streets.

Or

Fly or drive back to Kathmandu. It depends on your holiday time.

Day 17, Drive to Kathmandu.

After breakfast, we depart Pokhara’s stunning northern skyline and return to Kathmandu. After arriving in Kathmandu, you can relax or go shopping for souvenirs. In the evening, you will attend a goodbye supper to commemorate the journey’s completion and a farewell dinner.
