What’s the common form of greetings in Nepal?

It is called Namaskar or Namaste. The word Namaste means such as hello, I am glad to see you, nice to meet you, good morning, etc.

What are Nepali people like?

Nepalese people are friendly and hospitable by nature. Nepalese respects guest as gods as well. Travelers count Nepalese among the best friends in the world.

Which is the best season to visit Nepal?

Autumn and spring are the best seasons to visit Nepal for your Trekking and Hiking. We organize trekking and tours in Nepal all season. For more information about Trekking Season please visit our Best Trekking Season in Nepal page.

How far in advance can I book my trips?

A trip can be booked as far as six months in advance. We do not book more than six months ahead because of the possibility of huge fluctuations in the international exchange rate.

FAQS When do I do the final payment?

The final payment must be done before the start of the trek. Full payment can be done at the time of booking or as late as after arriving in Kathmandu. Please check our Payment Terms and Condition

Can I customize my trips to make them suit me?

Of course, you can customize your trip. We always are ready to make our trip convenient. We can easily edit the itinerary. Hence, you can customize your trips as per your holiday time and your interest.

What happens if I have to cancel or postpone my booked trip?

On cancellation, depending on the time duration before the cancellation of the trip, the cancellation charge will be charged. A trip can be postponed only up to 6 months at maximum and no further than that. for more details check our Terms and Condition

Do I get a refund if the trek finished earlier than the scheduled Itinerary?

Sorry, it is not possible because we manage the money on the guide and porter’s full salary, and also the fund is wasted on the permits, entry fees, etc. If there is any case that you fell ill or maybe any other case will be not refundable.

What does my package include?

Who can go on the treks?

We design our trekking/tours Itinerary for anyone and everyone who loves the great outdoors and a cultural experience. Of course, some trips may be a bit strenuous for people who are physically unfit and also for Children and old age people. Please visit our section on Trekking Grades to find out which treks suit and are best for you. We can customize our trips to accommodate many levels of fitness, so please feel free to contact us to discuss your options.

What if I am a solo traveler? Is there a supplemental for singles?

No problem, Many of our customers are traveling solo. It may also be an option to join a small group or another solo traveler, let us know if this interests you. Yes, the cost is supplemental if you are traveling alone; we also provide Guide and Porter Hire services. Please contact us to find out more.

What kind of insurance do I need?

Proper travel insurance is necessary before confirming a trek. In times of emergency cases like evacuation, it will cover your expenses. Make sure to consult with your insurance company about the coverage of the insurance that you have bought.

Who will pick up me from Kathmandu airport?

Of course, one of our staff will pick up you/your group from the airport. He will be displaying a card bearing your name right outside of the main exit gate of the terminal hall.

Is it necessary to use a guide while on a trek in Nepal?

We always recommend group trekking so better to use a guide/porter while trekking in Nepal; however, we recommend every guest to use our trained guide so that they could easily and safely complete their trek.

How long will be an average day on the trek?

On average, a day on a trek would be 5-6 hours long. The longest day can be up to 10 hours and 3 hours is the shortest day. It all depends on the region that you’re trekking.

Will I get altitude sickness?

It is possible. There is no way to tell beforehand how you will be affected by the altitude. It is usually only above 3000 meters. When people start to feel symptoms. Please see our page on Altitude Sickness for detailed information.

Is it possible to buy Trekking gear in Kathmandu?

Yes, it is possible to buy or rent Trekking gear in Thamel, Kathmandu. There are many trekking shops in Thamel. If you need any help from us on this issue we will be glad.

How safe are the treks?

Honestly, our main objective is your safety. Safety is never compromised and all our guides are properly trained and equipped to take care of clients’ safety in even the wildest region of the country.

What is the accommodation like?

We can tailor the accommodation to meet your requests. While in Kathmandu and Pokhara we generally stay in very nice hotels. During the treks, we will be staying in local guesthouses along the trail. The guesthouses vary, but overall are clean, charming, and meet all of your needs.

Who are the guides?

We have a very experienced and professional guide with a love and passion for outdoor travel and adventure. Our guides have been with us for many years and know the trekking region/trekking trails very well. Likewise, They all speak English very well and know how to take good care of their clients. We will give the service by our good and experienced guide.

How much luggage is Possible on treks?

Basically, a trekking helper (Porter) carries baggage of 18 to 20 kilograms. We provide 1 porter for 2 trekkers. This bag will receive at the end of each day’s trek and you should carry the rest of the weight as a day bag with all your money and valuables inside it.

How much tipping should I budget?

Especially, Tipping is not a must at all, but a small bunch of appreciation and thanks to your guides and local porters. The level of tips should be as per your satisfaction from the involvement with your guides and porters. However, we recommend you spend a minimum of 10% to 12% of your trip cost for tipping whole guides, and local porters.

Is the water & food safe?

The tap and mountain water in Nepal is generally not safe to drink for tourists. Bottled water, boiling water, or using water purification tablets are your best options. Yes, the food is safe in Nepal and delicious too.

Will my mobile phone work in Nepal?

Of course, You need to take your mobile phone with you; there is a large possibility of working on phones and the internet in most of the trekking regions in Nepal. However, You can easily buy any working Sim card in Nepal. For most of the trekking trails, you can find Wireless Internet (WIFI) at every hotel. Still, Some trekking reasons are not mobile networks and internet facilities.

What is Tea House Trek?

Especially, Tea House Trek is a basic lodge that stays overnight in tea houses that offer a bed and meals. During your trip, we will take you along your route. Besides that, organizing and paying for places to eat and sleep. The accommodation and meals can vary from the very similar hotels. Like in the city area something far more rustic depending on the area you are visiting.

What is Camping Trek?

Mainly, Camping Trek is a type of trek where Trekkers bring all the trekking equipment and necessary food during the Trekking period. As well, as staying alive, cooking in the Kitchen Tent, eating in the dining tent, and sleeping in the member tent. Camping trekking will organize and support by a team of guides, cooks, Sherpa, and porters to accompany you. During this Trek, You carry your small backpack with a water bottle, camera, and your day clothes.
