Tsum Valley Trek
Tsum Valley Trek is a hidden valley trek. It is Located in the northern territory of Nepal and reaches the border with Tibet. Where Buddha Himal and Himalchuli to the west surround it. Ganesh Himal to the south and Sringi Himal to the north. Tsum Valley is rich in ancient, culture and religion. It has been recently opened for trekkers. Trek through the beautiful village in the heart of a cultural and traditional hub.
You can find the real and true image of ancient habitants still untouched by another world. This trek requires more than two weeks with Tea house facilities. It is abundant in natural beauty, cultural surfaces, old structures, Gumba, Monasteries, and religious sites. The people living there are largely Tibetans who speak their dialect and dress in unique fashions.
Similarly, the undisturbed beauty of nature, including some of the world’s highest mountains such as Manaslu, Ganesh Himal, and Boudha Himal, enhances your vacation and provides a once-in-a-lifetime experience.
Tsum Valley Trekking starts from Machha Khola. After driving by private vehicle from Kathmandu and following the Budhi Gandaki River valley. Our journey passed through a very nice and traditional Gurung village with its unique culture. From Jagat, you enter the Manaslu Conservation Area and have to check in the Manaslu Trek Special Permit.
Tsum Valley Trek Permit
Tsum Valley Trekking is a special area so you need a Special trekking permit to visit. For the Tsum Valley Trek Permit, you must have 2 people in a group or more than that. From the Tumje/Dumje, you can day hiking to Gumba Lungdang (the way to Ganesh Himal Base Camp Trek). From there you can enjoy seeing incredible views of the Ganesh Himal range. Then continue your trek and descend to Soti Khola. It is the ending point of your Trek.

Itinerary
Day 1, Arrival at Kathmandu Airport (1,400m) and transfer to hotel
We, Himalaya Darshan Treks warmly welcome you and your group to Nepal. One of our company staff will take you to your hotel in Kathmandu. The person will be waiting outside the baggage hall of the Tribhuwan International Airport, Kathmandu, holding an A4-size paper with your name and our company name. So, you have to look for that person for your pick up from the airport. Your check-in at the hotel.
Day 2, Your free day or Sightseeing in Kathmandu
Your free day or Sightseeing in Kathmandu. This day is required to make Manaslu, Tsum Valley Trek special permit with your original passport.
Day 3, Drive from Kathmandu to Machha Khola (930m). Stay at tea house.
We will drive by Bus to Machhakhola after a lengthy drive up the west bank of the Budhi Gandaki River. It is possible to drive by private vehicle but it depends on your package. Stay at the guest house.
Day 4, Trek to Jagat (1,410m), Stay at tea house
The journey from Machha Khola to Jagat takes 5 to 6 hours, going via the Gurung settlements of Khorlabesi, Tatopani, Dobhan, and Yuru Khola along the Budi Gandaki valley.
Day 5, Trek to Lokpa/Lakuwa (2,240m), Stay at tea house
The day begins with the submission of a trekking permit at the Jagat Police checkpoint and Manaslu conservation office. Our right-hand trekking track leads to Tsum Valley, while our left-hand trail leads to Manaslu Circuit and Larke La Pass 5,135m. We continue our journey via a pleasant wooded uphill path with the Syar River wind to Lokpa.
Day 6, Trek to Chumling (2,810m). Stay at tea house
Our trekking track to Chumling Village (2320m) primarily follows the Syar Khola, a tiny river. Although it takes around 5 hours to walk through the incredibly serene wild countryside with the sound of the river. We’ll need to gain roughly 550 meters of elevation during the trip.
Day 7, Trek to Chhekampar (3,030m). Stay at tea house.
After breakfast, we start our journey with views of Ganesh Himal and Buddha Himal, to reach the town of Dumje, the finest site for a tea/water break. It serves as an energy saver before crossing the river and trekking up to the Gho village for lunch. After lunch continue the trek to reach Chekumpar.
Day 8, Trek to Nile (3,360m). Stay at tea house.
The morning begins with breathtaking vistas of various peaks in the Ganesh Himalaya Range and Buddha Peak, Himalchuli, and Mt Manaslu. Even though there is much to see and do in Chekumpar Village, we decided to travel to Nile 3361m. This is one of the more leisurely days, with only a flat, peaceful walk and a narrow path.
Day 9, Trek to Mu Gumba (3700m) Stay at Monastery
After breakfast, we begin our day ascending to Mu Gompa. You can enjoy visiting old and historical Mu Gompa the largest monastery with spiritual values, beliefs, and trust. Stay at the monastery.
Day 10, Trek back to Chhekampar (3,030m). Stay at tea house.
Our trek the same way descends to Chhekampar via Rachen Gompa. It is a nunnery (ladies’ monks) monastery so we can visit this beautiful monastery and then continue until Siyar Khola. After crossing the river we will continue our journey to Chhekampar. Stay at a teahouse.
Day 11, Trek to Gumba Lungdang (3,340m) Stay at the monastery.
After breakfast, we will trek to Gumba Lungdang (3,340m) way to Ganesh Himal base camp. Today, the ascend will be difficult due to the narrow and zigzag trail. But it is a beautiful day walk to enjoy the great view of Ganesh Himal. Stay at the Monastery.
Day 12, Trek back to Lokpa/Lakuwa (2,240m. Stay at tea house
We will trek descend from Gumba Lungdang to Lokpa. While you’re down there, you’ll be able to see some incredible landscapes and places.
Day 13, Trek back to Jagat (1,400m) Stay at a teahouse.
After breakfast, we will continue walking to Jagat and exit from the Manaslu Conservation area. Stay at a teahouse.
Day 14, Trek to Machhakhola Gaon(930m). Stay at tea house.
Today, we will trek from Philim to Machhakhola gaon, which will take approximately 6-7 hours. Today’s walk is a little longer than in previous days. We descend the trail through beautiful forests and rivers. We finally arrived in Machhakhola gaon.
Day 15, Drive to Kathmandu and Transfer to hotel.
After breakfast, we will drive back to Kathmandu through the same road, when we drove to before. Transfer to the hotel.
Day 16, Final Departure
Our, Himalaya Darshan Trek staff will pick you up from your hotel and drop you off at the airport. After that, we’ll say goodbye and part ways. You’ll board the plane with only wonderful recollections and an unforgettable trip. You now have an exciting journey to share with your family and friends as you return home.
