Maya Devi Temple
Start your visit at the Mayadevi Temple, which marks the exact spot where Queen Mayadevi is said to have given birth to Siddhartha Gautama (Buddha). The temple contains ancient artifacts and beautiful gardens.
Ashoka Pillar

There are two possibilities to reach Lumbini.
By Air: You can fly from Kathmandu to Gautam Buddha International Airport (Bhairahawa), 22 km from Lumbini.
By Road: You can drive by car or tourist bus from major cities like Kathmandu (approx. 8–9 hours) or Pokhara (approx. 6–7 hours).
Dress modestly and respectfully when entering temples and monasteries.
Early morning and late afternoon are the best times for peaceful exploration.
Hiring a local guide enhances your understanding of the historical and spiritual context.
Consider combining with nearby sites like Kapilvastu, Ramgram Stupa, and Devdaha.

Thereafter, we’ll send you an email with the final confirmation.
Please send us a copy of your passport, travel insurance information, and flight information within a week of making your reservation. You can pay the rest of your balance in cash at your hotel in Kathmandu or by bank transfer a week before your flight to Nepal.
The October to May months are the best time to visit Lumbini; the April to May months are scorching in April and May.
There are no exact times; it depends on your holiday time and interests. Normally, 3/4 days is enough to visit Lumbini. You can do the Lumbini tour after or before your trekking and climbing adventure. After the Lumbini tour, you can drive to Chitwan for a Jungle safari tour, or you can drive to Pokhara to rest and relax on your holiday.

We, Himalaya Darshan Treks, heartily welcome you and your group to Nepal. One of our company staff will take you to your hotel in Kathmandu. The person will be waiting outside the baggage hall of the Tribhuwan International Airport, Kathmandu, holding an A4-size paper with your name and our company name. Therefore, you have to look for that person for your pickup from the airport. Your check-in at the hotel.
One of our company staff will take you from your hotel to the domestic airport in Kathmandu for the flight to Bhairahawa. Your airport pickup will include a drive to Lumbini. In afternoon,
Visit Maya Devi Temple, Ashoka Pillar, and Sacred Pond.
Explore nearby monasteries.
After breakfast at the hotel, visit the World Peace Pagoda.
Continue the monastic zone tour (East & West zones).
Optional: Visit Tilaurakot (ancient Kapilvastu—palace of King Suddhodana, Buddha’s father), about 27 km from Lumbini.
After breakfast, you will drive to Bhairahawa airport for a flight to Kathmandu and transfer to the hotel.
