Annapurna Mulde Hill Trek

Annapurna Mulde Hill Trek is the best and most beautiful newly introduced trekking trail in the Annapurna Region. This area is far from the tourist crowd. It is also known as a peaceful trekking trail. Mulde Hill Trek starts from Ghandruk village after a 4- to 5-hour drive from Pokhara. Next, there is a pleasant walk through the jungle to Bhaisi Kharka, followed by a continuation to Tadapani at an elevation of 2,630 m.

From Tadapani, you can enjoy seeing the beautiful Annapurna Himalayan panorama, the Green Valley, and a magical landscape. From here, our trek continues to Dobato at 3,420 m, and the next morning we hike early to Mulde Peak at 3,638 m. Muldai Peak is the best viewpoint for enjoying the views of more than 25 beautiful mountains.

Mulde Hill: Where Nature’s Beauty Unfolds

Head to Mulde Hill, 3,638 meters, for a nature lover’s paradise. This peaceful paradise offers breathtaking panoramas (breathtaking views of more than 25 mountains), rolling hills, and a serene atmosphere. Traverse lush landscapes and encounter diverse flora and fauna along the way. Reach the top of the hill and witness awe-inspiring sunrises and sunsets that paint the sky with vibrant colors. Mulde Hill is the perfect getaway for those looking for a peaceful connection with nature.

After that, there are two options: one leads you to Khopra Danda Trek, and the other leads you to Deurali, following the Ghorepani Poonhill Trekking trail. We continue our walking and follow the Poon Hill trek. After hiking to Poon Hill, our trek descends to Nayapul, and then we drive to Pokhara.

Mulde Hill Trek Highlights

  • The summit of Mulde Peak is at 3,638 m, from where you can enjoy seeing more than 25 beautiful mountains, such as Annapurna and the Dhaulagiri Himalayan range. Similarly, you can see Nilgiri Himal, Lamjung Himal, Mt. Manaslu, and many other beautiful snow-capped mountain peaks.
  • You can also enjoy a view of Pokhara city and Fewa Lake from this vantage point.
  • The best sunrise and sunset views
  • The area is home to diverse wildlife and many different types of birds.
  • Trekking from March to May is colorful with blooming rhododendron flowers, so you can enjoy your holiday by seeing the rhododendron view.

Why is Muldai Viewpoint the best place to go off the beaten path?

The Mulde Hill viewpoint is 3,638 m (11,932 feet) high, which is almost 400 m higher than the well-known Poon Hill. This difference in height makes the view much better.

The 360° View: An amphitheater of giants surrounds you at the top. The views are wonderful and clear, and they include the huge Annapurna I (8,091 m) and Dhaulagiri (8,167 m) mountains as well as the famous Machhapuchhre (Fishtail).

The Solitude Factor: The Mulde Hill route splits off from the main Ghorepani trail at Tadapani, making the teahouses and trails much quieter. You trade in crowds of tourists for real peace.

The Trail Experience: The path to Mulde often goes through misty, old-growth rhododendron forests, which makes the walk feel like it’s from a long time ago, especially when the flowers are in bloom (March to May).

Can I walk up Mulde Hill on Christmas and New Year’s?

Of course! In fact, it’s one of the most magical times to be there. High-altitude passes are often closed by snow, but Mulde Hill’s “sweet spot” elevation of 3,638 m is usually open all winter.

Why it’s a wonderful choice for a vacation:

Diamond-Clear Skies: December and January are the months when the sky is most likely to be “blue.” The views of the mountains are clearer and more dramatic than at any other time of year.

Festive Solitude: While Pokhara celebrates with music and lights, Mulde Hill has a “Silent Night” like no other. Instead of loud parties, you’ll have a crackling fire in a teahouse and a sky full of stars in the Himalayas.

The Winter Glow: Few trekkers have the opportunity to witness the first sunrise of the New Year illuminating the frozen face of Annapurna I.
