Likewise, the Kyanjin Ri (4,383 m) is one of the highlighted day hike destinations. From here, enjoy panoramic views of the surrounding mountains, including Langtang Lirung, Langtang Ri, Langtang Yubra, Langsisa Ri Peak, and beautiful Langtang Valley.

If you like a more challenging adventure, you can also consider a detour to Tsergo Ri (4,985 m), a lookout with stunning views of the Langtang Mountains. The hike to Tsergo Ri is steep but worth the effort for spectacular views. It will be your lifetime experience from the short hike.

It is important to note that the Langtang region was impacted by the catastrophic earthquake of 2015, which fully collapsed the Langtang village and resulted in the deaths of many people, including locals, foreign guests, guides, and porters. However, the reconstruction is now complete. The Langtang Valley’s trekking routes are secure, though.

The trekkers who don’t like to hike this peak can hike to Kyanjin Ri 4580 m. So it depends on you and your choice.

Itinerary


Day 1, Drive to Syabrubensi (1,417m) Stay at the tea house

After breakfast, we will drive to Syabru Bensi. about 6/7 hours. (by private vehicle or public vehicle, it depends on your package and your group size) We will spend the day traveling through the stunning foothills of the Himalayas on our way to Syabru Bensi. Stay at the tea house.

Day 2, Trek to Lama Hotel (2,481m). Stay at the tea house.

We’ll spend the day trekking from Syrabu Bensi to Lama Hotel, ascending and descending numerous slopes and valleys along the way.

Day 3, Trek to Langtang Village (3,420m). Stay at the tea house.

We’ll hike from the Lama Hotel to Langtang hamlet via Ghora Tabela. We’ll journey through high alpine fields and have the opportunity to visit a local monastery along the way. Stay at the tea house.

Day 4, Trek to Kyanjin Gompa (3,920m). Stay at the tea house.

We’ll continue hiking for 3 hours to Kyangjin Gompa, passing through several tiny settlements, crossing a few streams, and traversing a few moraines. We will see panoramic views of various Himalayan peaks from Kyangjin Gompa. Stay at the tea house.

Day 5, Hike to Kyanjin Ri (4,370m) or Tsergo Ri (4,984m).

In Kyangjin Gompa, we’ll spend the day acclimating. We can visit the local monastery and cheese factory and climb to a nearby moraine to observe breathtaking icefalls and glaciers. Kyangjin Ri could also be mounted at 4,370 m. If you like to hike to Tsergo Ri Peak (4,984 m), you will have to start early in the morning and need to take a packed lunch too.

Day 6, Trek back to Lama Hotel (2,481m). Stay at the tea house.

The day will be spent descending from Kyangjin Gompa to the Lama Hotel. We will follow the same route for our ascent. Stay at the tea house.

Day 7, Trek back to Syabrubensi (1,417m). Stay at the tea house.

This is the last day of your trekking/walking. The day will be spent descending to Syabrubensi. We will follow the same route on our ascent. Stay at the tea house.

Day 8, Drive to Kathmandu and transfer to hotel

After breakfast, we will drive back to Kathmandu following the same road. and transfer to the hotel.
