One Reply to “Makalu Base Camp Tea House Trek”

  1. We have just completed a 15 days teahouse trek from Tumlingtar to the Makalu Basecamp in the Eastern part of Nepal with Gyan Katuwal as our Guide. We were four people between 52 and 62 years. Gyan speaks English and ensured that we were well hosted in each teahouse. He has a strong sense of responsibility towards our group and supported each person individually. We experienced his support particularly during difficult crossings of landslide areas between Dobate and Yangle Kharka. In this area due to heavy rain during the monsoon season 2017 the natural barrier of a glacier lake was broken and a huge water and mud avalanche hade flushes away parts of the path. His manner is professional, respectful of his clients and always reliable. He is honest and forthright. I highly recommend Gyan Katuwal as a Guide.
