Timing is everything if you want to get the most out of your trip to the Himalayas. Because the trek is at a moderate altitude, it can be done all year long, but two seasons stand out
- Spring, (March – May): The hills turn crimson with blooming Rhododendrons and the weather is pleasantly warm.

Mohare Danda Trek Itinerary
This short and sweet route is great for people who don’t have a lot of time but want to have a lot of fun.
Day 1: Drive from Kathmandu/Pokhara to Galeshwor and then hike to Bans Kharka (1,525m). Start with a beautiful drive and a slow climb through orange groves.
Day 2: Trek to Nangi Village (2,320m) and see the well-known organic farm school. You can also try out the community’s cutting-edge wireless internet hub.
Day 3: Hike to Mohare Danda (3,300m). The path goes steadily up through oak and bamboo forests to a stunning viewpoint on the ridge.
Day 4: Trek to Ghorepani or Deurali (3,103m) – Cross high ridges with views on both sides before joining the classic trail.
On Day 5, Early morning hike to Poon Hill, then trek to Nayapul, and finally drive to Pokhara. You can see twice as much by going to Poon Hill and then coming back down to civilization.
