In lower Solukhumbu, Pikey Peak is a famous trekking destination on the south side of the Everest region. It is a short and beautiful trek. The Pikey Peak Dudhkunda Trek in the Lower Solukhumbu Region is tremendously rewarding. It offers a unique opportunity to learn about Sherpa culture. This trekking trail is one of the greatest for discovering natural and cultural wonders.
Especially, our Pikey Peak Dudhkunda Trek package begins in Patale Danda, at an elevation of 2,840 meters, after a picturesque drive from Kathmandu. Pikey Peak, at 4,065 meters, is a one-hour hike from Pikey Base Camp at 3,600 m. From the Pikey summit, we will enjoy the spectacular view of the Himalayas, including Mt. Everest, Makalu, Kanchenjunga, and the Dhaulagiri Himalayan ranges.

Thereafter, we continue our trek through Traktor via Lamajura La Pass (3765 m) to Junbesi (an attractive Sherpa settlement). We will hike to the beautiful Thubten Chholing monastery from Junbesi. It is a famous nuns’ monastery. Again, we will continue our trek to reach the second objective (Dudh Kunda Lake) for the hike after passing via Yak Kharka and Sahasrabeni.
Note: If you are interested in visiting Nun’s Monastery in Kathmandu, we will guide you. You just need one extra day in Kathmandu.
In addition, you will have a day off to explore Dudh Kunda Lake (4,600 m). It’s also known as Milky Lake, a holy lake revered by Hindus and Buddhists. Many pilgrims clog this trail during the August festival season. During your walk, you may come across some of the region’s unusual birds, creatures, and beautiful mountains just in front of you.

Stay at the tea house.
The pathway rapidly departs off the road and leads you through a forest of brightly colored rhododendrons, white subalpine flowers, and limitless vistas of the world’s biggest mountain range. The Solu Khumbu’s lower reaches are peaceful, quiet, and serene, and today you’ll learn why trekking in this section of Nepal is so remarkable. You’ll travel through Sherpa settlements, floral meadows, yak herds and their shepherds, mani walls and stupas, old forests, and ultimately into the high alpine, where you’ll arrive at Pikey Peak Base Camp. The present is a relatively difficult day, especially as we gain altitude, but it is unquestionably a very rewarding day on the route.
