The Manaslu Circuit Trek (Larke La Pass 5,106 m) is another beautiful and popular trekking trail. Himalaya Darshan Treks offers the Tsum Valley Manaslu Circuit Trek with a highly experienced and professional trekking guide and staff to enhance your holiday experience.

After visiting the hidden gem, Tsum Valley, we will rejoin the Manaslu Circuit Trekking trail near the suspension bridge. Thereafter, you can continue to the Lho Gaon, Sama Gaon, and Samdo villages (which are the most beautiful villages on this trek).

We have to manage one extra acclimatization day at Sama Gaon. From where can we do a day hike to Pungyan Gumba/Birendra Lake or Manaslu Base Camp? You can enjoy a breathtaking Himalayan panorama on this day.

Manaslu Larke La Pass Trek

The trek continues to Dharamsala (Larke Phedi), and then the early morning starts with a hike to the Larke La Pass at 5,106 m. This is the highest pass in this trek. It is a hard and adventurous journey to climb Larke La Top, but you can enjoy your trek. After the Larke La passes, the trek descends to Bimthang, Tilje, and Dharapani.

Dharapani is the joining point of the most popular Annapurna Circuit trekking trail. Our journey ends at Dharapani, and then we have to drive by Jeep to Besisahar/Kathmandu. It depends on your holiday time.

Itinerary

Day 1, Arrival at Kathmandu Airport (1,400m) and transfer to hotel

We, Himalaya Darshan Treks, warmly welcome you and your group to Nepal. One of our company staff will take you to your hotel in Kathmandu. The person will be waiting outside the baggage hall of the Tribhuwan International Airport, Kathmandu, holding an A4-size paper with your name and our company name. Therefore, you have to look for that person for your pickup from the airport. Your check-in at the hotel.

Day 2, Drive from Kathmandu to Machha Khola (930m). Stay at tea house.

Your guide will take you from your hotel to the new bus station to drive to Macchha Khola. It is a 7/8-hour drive from Kathmandu. Stay at the guest house.

Day 3, Trek to Jagat (1410m). Stay at tea house.

The journey from Machha Khola to Jagat takes 5 to 6 hours, going via the Gurung settlements of Khorlabesi, Tatopani, Dobhan, and Yuru Khola along the Budi Gandaki valley.

Day 4, Trek to Lokpa (2,240m). Stay at tea house

The day begins with the submission of a trekking permit at the Jagat Police checkpoint. Our right-hand trekking track leads to Tsum Valley, while our left-hand trail leads to Manaslu Circuit and Larke La Pass (5,106 m). We continue our journey via a pleasant wooded uphill path with the Sheyar River wind to Lokpa.

Day 5, Trek to Chumling Village (2,810m). Stay at tea house.

Our trekking leads us to Chumling Village (2,810 m) and primarily follows the Syar Khola, a tiny river. Although it takes around 5 hours to walk through the incredibly serene wild countryside, you will hear the sound of the river throughout the journey. We’ll need to gain roughly 550 meters of elevation during the trip.

Day 6, Trek to Chhekampar (3,010m). Stay at tea house.

After breakfast, we start our journey with views of Small Ganesh Mountain and Buddha Himal to reach the town of Dumje, the finest site for a tea/water break. It serves as an energy saver before crossing the river and trekking up to the Gho village for lunch. After lunch, the trek continues until it reaches Chekumpar.

Day 7, Trek to Nile (3,360m). Stay at tea house.

The morning begins with breathtaking vistas of various peaks in the Ganesh Himalaya Range and Buddha Peak, Himalchuli, and Mt. Manaslu. Even though there is much to see and do in Chekumpar Village, we decided to travel to Nile, 3,360 m. The present is one of the more leisurely days, with only a flat, peaceful walk and a narrow path.

Day 8, Trek to Mu Gumba (3,700m) Stay at monastery.

After breakfast, we begin our day ascending to Mu Gompa. You can enjoy visiting the old and historical Mu Gompa, the largest monastery with spiritual values, beliefs, and trust. Stay at the monastery.

Day 9, Trek back to Chhekampar (2,440m). Stay at tea house.

Our trek, the same way, descends to Chhekampar via Rachen Gompa. It is a nunnery (ladies’ monastery), so we can visit this beautiful monastery and then continue until Siyar Khola. After crossing the river, we will continue our journey to Chhekampar. Stay at a teahouse.

Day 10, Trek to Gumba Lungdang (3,700m) Stay at monastery.

After breakfast, we will trek to Gumba Lungdang (3,340 m) on the way to Ganesh Himal base camp. Today, the ascent will be difficult due to the narrow and zigzag trail. But it is a beautiful day to walk and enjoy the amazing view of Ganesh Himal. Stay at the monastery.

Day 11, Trek back to Lokpa(2,240m). Stay at tea house.

We will trek down from Gumba Lung Dang to Lokpa. While you’re down there, you’ll be able to see some incredible landscapes and places.

Day 12, Trek to Ghap (2,160m). Stay at tea house.

The journey leaves the Tsum Valley and rejoins the Budhi Gandaki River after a brief descent into the narrow valleys. After crossing the river, the terrain becomes steeper for a little while before leveling down toward Pewa. Then another steep hike continues for the remainder of the day. We will continue our journey to Ghap, passing through the Dyang and Bihi villages. Stay at a teahouse.

Day 13, Trek to Lho gaon (3,180m). Stay at tea house.

From the Ghap, the trip continues through the forest, gradually gaining altitude and following the Budhi Gandaki River, which is now considerably smaller. The day concludes with a difficult ascent through the jungle to Namrung village.
The walk now begins to ascend to a higher elevation from Namrung onwards. After a short walk on flat ground, the trail begins to climb until it reaches Shyo village. As the path lowers into a river and climbs again till it reaches Lho Gaon, a view of Manaslu (8,163 meters) arises to the west.

Day 14, Trek to Sama Gaon (3,560m). Stay at tea house.

After a two-hour climb up, you’ll pass through the Syala hamlet and into the pine forest on your way to Sama Gaon. Shyala hamlet offers stunning views of Manaslu, North Manaslu, Himal Chuli, Nadi Chuli, Naike Peak, and Pangbuche Himal. That day’s hike to Sama Gaon is relatively short.

Day 15, Acclimatization Day.

When you reach a height of over 3,000 meters, you must take time to rest and acclimate to the higher altitudes. Pungyan Monastery, Manaslu Base Camp, and a short climb to Birendra Lake are the primary attractions on that day hike. You and your guide can decide which places to visit.

Day 16, Trek to Samdo (3,690m). Stay at tea house.

Today’s climb to Samdo Village is quite straightforward, although it becomes challenging due to the substantial altitude gain. The Budi Gandaki River runs through the alpine woodland on its way to the river’s suspension bridge. The trail goes on to Samdo after passing the bridge. It may be a bit windy that day, but you will be able to get beautiful Himalayan views.

Day 17, Trek to Larke Phedi / Dharamsala (4,470m). Stay at tea house.

The trail lowers for a short while before beginning to ascend towards the Larkya Glacier. The path grows easier and ends at Dharmasala (Larke Phedi), where the next day’s ascent begins.

Day 18, Trek to Bimthang (3,720m) via Larke La Pass (5,106m)

Today, we will start our walking early in the morning; the ascent up the Larke Glacier only leads to the pass’s summit. From the summit, we can see Himlung (7126 meters), Annapurna II (7937 meters), Kang Guru (6981 meters), and several other peaks above 6000 meters. The glacial moraine commences with a steep drop on the snow and persists throughout the day. The descent concludes with a view of Bhimthang, perched on vast, level land.

Day 19, Trek back to Tilche (2,320m) and Drive to Besisahar (760m) Stay at hotel

We’ll continue our trek from Bhimthang through Ghoa’s lovely Gurung settlement and cross the Dudh Khola on a suspension bridge, then follow the lower valley to Tilche. If you have enough time, you can drive to Besisahar for a comfortable stay for the night. Stay at Tilche and drive to Besisahar and then Kathmandu the following day if you’re pressed for time.

Day 20, Drive to Kathmandu and Transfer to hotel.

After breakfast at the hotel, we will drive to Besisahar in a Jeep and have lunch there. After lunch we will drive along the banks of the Marsyangdi and Trishuli Rivers, passing through rice fields, terraced farms, valleys, and delightful views of the mountainous areas and mountains.
