Kanchenjunga Trek Permit
The Kanchenjunga Region is a restricted area under the management of the tourism policy. So, you’ll need a special trekking permit to visit Kanchenjunga. This area is not a typical trekking destination, such as Everest, Langtang, or Annapurna. For the Kanchenjunga Special Permit, you can apply through the process from a Nepal government-registered trekking company, and you will need a minimum of two trekkers in a group.

Kanchenjunga Region
In the Kanchenjunga region, there are renowned trekking trails that are ideal for your adventure holiday in Nepal. It lies in the Kanchenjunga Conservation Area, so there is a beautiful, untouched wilderness of flora and fauna inside that area. Also, the amazing scene of Kanchenjunga’s north face from the north base camp (Pangpema) is at 5,140 m. Besides that, the south face of Kanchenjunga from the south base camp (Yalung) is 4,810 m. Meanwhile, trekking to Kanchenjunga from March to May is more beautiful with the blooming of the rhododendron flower. The Kanchenjunga region is best for reading and research about rhododendrons.
Kanchenjunga Trek Permit Cost:
- The Kanchenjunga Trek special permit cost is USD 20 per person, per week. And USD 25 per person week (Beyond 4 weeks)
- Kanchenjunga Conservation Area Entry Permit (KCAP) costs USD 20 p/p. (There is no time limitation for the permit.)
Note: you need to make a normal 2-week permit to visit the Kanchenjunga base camp trek and the Kanchenjunga circuit trek, so the permit cost is USD 40 p/p
Finally, the total cost of the Kanchenjunga Trek Permit is USD 60 per person.

Many different trekking companies offer different costs and itineraries for the Kanchenjunga Trek. We, Himalaya Darshan Treks, offer the Kanchenjunga Trek for $1275 per person. We offer 3 different trekking packages for the Kanchenjunga Base Camp Trek.
First: we offer the Kanchenjunga Base Camp Trek for $1899 PP for a 20-day full board package. From airport pickup to drop-off. (All prices inclusive).
Second: The cost is $1715 PP for a 20-day full board package without a porter.
Third: The cost is $1275 PP for a 20-day service package without food and accommodation in Kathmandu and during the trek.
The cost always depends on your group size, the duration of trekking days, and the service standard. This means that the cost applies if you are interested in doing the Kanchenjunga Luxurious Trek. Of course, the cost will go high.
